Avocado Banana Deep Conditioner

Hello my lovely readers, I am back to share an AMAZING recipe that I recently tried on my hair and LOVED! So as you can probably tell from my previous posts, I suffer from a dry scalp and ends (*sad face*) lol! So I ran across a recipe by Texture Playground that I thought I'd try and alter a bit!

Ingredients:
1 ripe avocado (medium sized)
1 4 oz jar of banana baby food
1/3 cup of coconut milk (whole fat)
3 tbs EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
1/3 cup of honey
2 tbs Aloe Vera Gel

Directions:
1. In a small food processor, pulse the avocado until smooth.
2. Add in the jar of baby food and blend until homogeneous and a pale green color.
3. Add in coconut milk, EVOO, honey and aloe vera gel one at a time, mix well after each addition.
4. After washing your hair, apply the conditioner in sections, thoroughly coating hair, especially the ends.
5. Stuff hair underneath a plastic cap, wrap head in a warm towel and RELAX!
6. After about an hour, rinse hair thoroughly and immediately apply a cheapie conditioner (I use VO5) to completely rid hair of avocado and banana.
7. ENJOY YOUR LUSCIOUS HAIR! :)

Homemade Shea Butter Deep Conditioner

After a long and tiring search for a deep conditioner that actually worked and provided my hair with moisture (other than WEN Remoist), I decided to make my own!

Ingredients:
2 tbls raw, unrefined shea butter (google it, surprisingly cheap)
3 tsp Olive Oil
2 tsp Tea Tree Oil
1/2 cup conditioner (I use Cantu Rinse Out Conditioner but you can use your favorite brand!)

1. Pour the conditioner in a bowl and mix in olive oil and tea tree oil.
2. In a separate bowl, melt shea butter completely in microwave (my house is always cold so the shea butter is always hard)
3. Add shea butter to conditioner and mix well, let it cool down.
4. After washing or co-washing your hair, apply mixture soaking wet to hair in sections (I part my hair into quarters and apply) DO NOT COMB!
5. Sit under a hard bonnet dryer for 45 mins to an hour!
6. Allow hair to cool off.
7. Comb with a wide tooth comb.
8. Rinse out, leaving about 5% of the conditioner in.
9. Style as usual
10. Enjoy your moisturized hair!

Ingredients....see! There's the shea butter lol

End result. ENJOY!!!
