I'm an experimenter. I always try different things and mix up whatever ingredients I have to make what I need, so what did i do?! COME UP WITH A DC RECIPE :)
Ingredients:
1. 4 oz jar of banana baby food (I use organic baby food)
2. 1 tsp of jojoba oil
3. 1 tsp of EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)
4. 2 tsp of safflower oil
5. 1 tsp coconut oil
6. 2 tbsp honey (I also use organic honey)
Directions: (I use baby food simply because it's so pureed that no pieces of banana can be left in my hair, though you can use a whole, ripened banana. Also, any mixture of oils can be used but in the same ratios, these just work best on my hair.)
1. In a small bowl, add all ingredients and emulsify, or mix until the banana, honey and oils no longer separate.
2. On freshly washed, soaking wet hair, apply conditioner in sections. Make sure to completely saturate your hair (I comb the conditioner through but this is not necessary).
3. Place a plastic cap over your hair then wrap with a towel and RELAX! (You can sit under a dryer but I am no longer using heat on my hair so this is what I do).
4. I usually let this conditioner sit on my hair for 2 hours.
5. Rinse out conditioner with cold water and co-wash if you can't stand the smell. (I personally hate bananas and their smell lol)
6. Style as usual.
I do this conditioner every week and my hair feels fab! Hope you all love this recipe! Leave comment or suggestions :)
